Dr. Gaurav Singh Gaur is an independent public leader, academic, and healthcare innovator from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The son of former UP minister Shri Narendra Singh Gaur, he combines a gold-medal academic record, two decades of grassroots administrative service, and a pioneering medical-device patent into a single mission: turning scholarship into measurable public good.
Roots in Education and Public Service
Born into a family where education and public service were not careers but convictions, Dr. Gaurav grew up watching his father — Professor Shri Narendra Singh Gaur — shape the intellectual and civic life of Uttar Pradesh as a five-term MLA and multi-portfolio minister. That upbringing instilled a belief that leadership is not a podium but a responsibility: to the student who needs a classroom, the farmer who needs a fair price, and the patient who needs early, affordable care.
A Gold-Medal Academic Foundation
Dr. Gaurav's own scholarship began at Allahabad University, where he graduated Bachelor of Commerce as a Gold Medalist — honoured with the prestigious M.K. Ghosh Gold Medal and the Jubilee Silver Medal. He went on to earn an M.Com from Kanpur University, a PGDM in HR & Marketing from Amity Business School, and a Ph.D. in Hospital Human Resource Management from UPRTOU Prayagraj. His doctoral research on hospital HR systems became the academic bedrock of his later healthcare innovation work.
Two Decades of Grassroots Administration
Since 2003, Dr. Gaurav has served as District Project Coordinator (DPC) for the UP Diversified Agriculture Support Project (UPDASP) across Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Mirzapur, and Aligarh. In that role he has empowered over 25,000 farmers through crop diversification, modern technology adoption, and self-help group formation — translating policy into livelihoods, one village at a time. Earlier, as Manager at Birla Sugar Industries, he built the corporate and operational discipline that grounds his public work today.
Healthcare Innovation: The Brexvel Breakthrough
Driven by the conviction that early detection saves lives, Dr. Gaurav founded D.G. Rakshak Pvt. Ltd. and pioneered "Brexvel" — a novel, low-cost breast cancer early-detection device. Brexvel is currently undergoing clinical trials at Swaroop Rani Hospital, Prayagraj, with patent applications pending in both India and the United States. It represents a rare fusion of academic research, entrepreneurial risk, and humanitarian purpose.
